2. Privacy Policy

2.1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what data 302 Music may access or store and how that data is used. The Application only uses data that Discord provides when you interact with it or when it is added to a server.

2.2. Data the Application may process

When you or your server use 302 Music, the Application may access or temporarily process:

  • Your Discord user ID and username.
  • Server (guild) IDs, channel IDs, and role IDs.
  • Message content that directly involves the Application (for example, slash commands or messages that trigger actions).
  • Music-related actions (such as play, pause, skip, queue, volume changes, etc.).
  • Configuration and settings for the Application in your server (such as default volume, DJ roles, or whitelist/blacklist entries).

The Application does not read or log all messages in a server — only the data required to respond to commands or perform its music and management features.

2.3. Stored data

To make the Application work properly across restarts and updates, some information may be stored, such as:

  • Server configuration/settings for 302 Music.
  • IDs for whitelists, blacklists, or special access roles.
  • Basic logs for debugging errors and performance issues.

No attempt is made to personally identify users beyond what is needed for Discord functionality (for example, storing a user ID so that settings or cooldowns work correctly).

2.4. Third-party services

302 Music relies on third-party services, including but not limited to:

  • Discord – for user, message, and server data.
  • YouTube / other audio sources – for streaming audio content where applicable.
  • Top.gg – if you vote for the Application via Top.gg, vote webhooks may send your Discord ID and vote data to the Application.

Your use of these services is also governed by their own terms and policies.

2.5. Data sharing

I do not sell or rent your data. Data used by 302 Music is only used to:

  • Make the Application function (commands, queue, settings, etc.).
  • Fix bugs and improve features.
  • Prevent abuse (for example, blocking users or servers that break the rules).

2.6. Data retention

Configuration data and necessary IDs may be stored for as long as the Application is active in your server so that your settings and features continue to work. Debug logs may be kept for a limited time to help track and fix issues.

2.7. Data removal

If you want to remove the App’s data related to your server or user:

  • You can remove the Application from your server, which stops all new data from being collected.
  • You can request removal of stored configuration or related data by contacting me (see the contact section below).

2.8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated over time. If you continue to use the Application after changes are posted, you are agreeing to the updated policy.
