302 Stats Discord Application

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how 302 Stats (also called “StatsBot,” the “Application”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information while operating the 302 community leveling system and its public leaderboard.

Effective: September 7, 2026 Last updated: September 7, 2026 Operator: 302 Development

1. Scope and operator

This policy applies to the 302 Stats Discord Application, its leveling features, its fan-art review workflow, and the 302 Stats leaderboard hosted on brandon302.com. The Application is operated by 302 Development in Canada and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord, Inc.

The Application is configured for the 302 community Discord server. It does not use incoming direct messages for XP or general activity tracking.

2. Information we collect and process

The Application may process the following information supplied by Discord:

  • Account information: Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar, bot status, and server roles.
  • Server information: server, channel, role, message, and interaction IDs needed to operate configured features.
  • Message activity: message content, author, channel, attachments, and timestamps in the configured server.
  • Voice activity: voice-channel membership and join, leave, or move events used to calculate eligible voice time.
  • Leveling information: XP, level, XP progress, message count, voice duration, cooldown timestamps, and reward-role results.
  • Fan-art submissions: submitted images, filenames, captions, submitter identity, relevant message/channel IDs, review status, and reviewer identity.
  • Operational information: errors, feature events, administrative actions, and limited server logs used for reliability and abuse prevention.
For duplicate-message abuse prevention, the Application stores only a normalized copy of a member’s most recent message—not a complete history of their messages. The normalized copy is replaced after the bot processes that member’s next message.

3. Discord privileged intents

Message Content Intent. 302 Stats uses message content to:

  • determine whether a message qualifies for text XP;
  • ignore empty, command-like, or repeated messages and reduce XP farming;
  • receive images and optional captions posted in the designated fan-art submission channel.

Server Members Intent. 302 Stats uses member information to:

  • synchronize earned level-reward roles;
  • resolve members when processing rewards or moderation actions;
  • identify departed members when maintaining leaderboard records.
302 Stats does not request the Presence Intent and does not monitor members’ online/idle status, games, Spotify activity, custom status, or device presence.

4. How information is used

We use the information described above only as reasonably necessary to:

  • award text and voice XP, calculate levels, and maintain rankings;
  • apply reward roles and administer XP adjustments or temporary XP boosts;
  • show members their rank, progress, activity totals, and recent XP trends;
  • receive fan art, provide it to authorized server staff for review, and publish approved submissions with creator credit;
  • send configured community announcements;
  • detect abuse, troubleshoot errors, secure the Application, and maintain service reliability.

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or behavioral profiling.

5. Public leaderboard and fan art

The public 302 Stats leaderboard may display or make available a member’s Discord user ID, username, avatar, level, XP totals and progress, message count, accumulated voice time, recent XP-award timestamps, ranking, and recent XP trend points.

A fan-art submission is provided to authorized community staff for review. If approved, the image and caption may be reposted publicly in the configured Discord channel together with credit to the submitting member. Declined submissions are not intentionally published by the Application.

6. How information is shared

We do not sell or rent user information. Information may be shared only:

  • with Discord as necessary to receive events, respond to interactions, manage roles, and post content;
  • through the public leaderboard and approved fan-art features described above;
  • with authorized 302 community staff who review fan-art submissions or administer the leveling system;
  • with hosting or infrastructure providers that help operate and secure the Application and website;
  • when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users, comply with law, or respond to valid legal process;
  • when a user directs or consents to the disclosure.

Discord’s own handling of information is governed by Discord’s policies and terms.

7. Data retention

  • Leveling records are retained while needed to operate persistent XP, levels, rankings, and reward roles, or until they are deleted through an administrative action or valid deletion request.
  • XP trend history is retained without an automatic age limit to support all-time activity charts.
  • The most recent normalized message is retained for duplicate detection until it is replaced by the member’s next processed message, reset, or deleted.
  • Pending fan-art files and metadata are retained while staff review is pending. The Application removes its temporary local copy after approval or decline; Discord may retain messages or approved uploads under its own policies.
  • Operational logs may be retained for a limited period reasonably necessary for troubleshooting, safety, and reliability.

Backups or cached copies may remain temporarily after deletion until they are overwritten through ordinary system operation.

8. Your choices and data requests

You may request information about, correction of, or deletion of 302 Stats data associated with your Discord account. Contact us using the details below and include your Discord user ID so we can identify the correct record. We may ask you to verify that you control the account before fulfilling a request.

Leaving the configured Discord server stops new server activity from being processed, but it does not necessarily delete existing leveling records automatically. Contact us if you also want stored records removed.

9. Security, age, and changes

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards intended to protect stored information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Users must meet Discord’s minimum age requirements. If you believe information was collected from someone who is not permitted to use Discord, contact us so we can review it.

We may update this policy when the Application, its data practices, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will identify the current version.
